SUBJECT: Survey Works at Al Jazeera Port and Ras Al Khaimah Port
Ref: Chart 3404 and 3174.
Survey works are due to commence on or around Thursday 7th September in the approaches, channel and berth area at Al Jazeera Port, which is expected to take two days. A similar survey will take place at Ras Al Khaimah port following on from Al Jazeera Port (i.e. 9th Sept) and expected to complete on 12th September.
The self-elevated platform “Aqua Jack I” will be used for the survey and will display shapes and lights as required by international and local regulations. The contact number on board is:

The vessel will be monitoring VHF throughout and inform the Tower of their movements on channels:
- Al Jazeera Port 16 & 68
- Ras Al Khaimah Port 16 & 71
The tug master will discuss the scheduled daily movements with the appropriate tower each morning before commencing survey operations.
The survey is weather dependent and may be subject to delay.
Mariners should keep a look out and be extra vigilant when navigating in these areas.
