As part of its strategy to explore business opportunities in China, RAK Maritime City Free Zone Authority (RMCFZA) – one of the fastest-growing free zones with direct waterside access in the UAE – welcomed a high-level Chinese delegation in December.
The Chinese delegation was led by Mr. Peng Xianfeng, Executive Vice President of Sichuan/Chongqing Business Council in UAE (Council), and included 8 company directors with a wide range of business interests. The Council promotes business facilitation and investment between UAE and Sichuan/Chongqing, China.
Capt. Cliff Brand, General Manager of RMCFZA, welcomed the Chinese delegation. The one-day visit involved discussion on boosting investments into RMCFZA from Sichuan Province, China, and strengthening business and trade relations.
Mr. Peng Xianfeng expressed Sichuan’s interest in cooperating with RMCFZA and invited RMCFZA to visit Sichuan soon for further high level discussions.
To follow up with China’s One Belt, One Road initiative, RMCFZA is a perfectly positioned Free Zone for heavy industries accessing markets from Europe to Africa, the Middle East and the dynamic Asian economies.
