SUBJECT: Temporary Exclusion Zone
Ref: Chart 3174, 3404, NtM’s 5 of 2017 and Temp. Exclusion Zone Chartlet
Following recent dredging campaign mariners are advised the existing project exclusion zone will be temporarily extended outward about 130 meters to incorporate two patches of reduced depths (minimum is 6.9m below Chart Datum). Further dredging will take place in May at which time the area will be deepened.
Temp. exclusion zone marker buoys will be positioned back to Project exclusion zone on completion of Phase-III dredging operations.
All Mariners advised to be aware of above said temporary exclusion zone while entering and leaving RAK Maritime City / Stevin Rock Harbour and are requested to exercise extreme caution while transiting in the vicinity:
- Keep well clear of above temporary exclusion zone.
- All Vessels/Crafts proceed with minimum speed and navigate with caution.
- Maintain constant listening watch on VHF Channel 16 / 14 / 69.
- All movements should be co-ordinated with Mina Saqr / RAK Maritime City Port Control.
