SUBJECT: Anchorage Request Form
Ref: RAK Ports NTM No. 12 of 2018.
Further to our Notice to Mariners No. 12 of 2018, please be informed, any non-trading vessel (vessel other than trading to or from any RAK Ports) intending to anchor in the anchorage area of any RAK Ports for a specific purpose (i.e. crew change, repair, shelter, waiting for order), shall request permission by sending an ‘Anchorage Request Form’ to port control, through ship’s marine agent. The form is available for download at ‘Marine’ section of RAK Ports website:
Prior to proceeding to anchorage, an approved vessel shall coordinate her arrival and intentions (purpose and anticipated prolonged anchorage stays) with relevant Port Control for an available anchorage position. Such vessel shall also report to Port Control after anchoring, keep a continuous listening watch on VHF channel appropriate to the relevant Port Control, and obtain permission prior to leaving the anchorage area. All vessels within UAE waters shall comply with applicable UAE rules and all vessels within RAK Ports limits shall comply with applicable port regulations and report to respective authorities as appropriate.
Charging for access to the anchorage for non RAK Ports trading vessels will be notified in due course.
Owners, Operators, Agents, Charterers should ensure that the contents of this Notice are made known to the masters or persons in charge of their vessels or craft.
