Sub: 18’’ Saleh Subsea Pipeline Works

Mariners are advised that N-SEA Diving Services LLC will be conducting works on the 18’’ Saleh subsea gas pipelines on behalf of RAK Gas LLC. The 45 km long subsea pipeline links Saleh field and RAK Gas onshore at RAS Al Khaimah.
Diving Support Vessel (DSV) “QMS Huracan” will carry out the works in location 3.4NM from shore and are scheduled to commence from 5th Apr for a duration of 25 – 30 days. During this period an exclusion zone of 0.5NM radius around the vessel (see attached drawing) will be in force.
DSV will be positioned at 25o 58.250’’N 055o 59.302’’E for 10-15 days. Subsea operations will be completed by utilising Air Divers deployed from DSV using a LARS diving platform while the vessels maintains in DP2 mode.
After completion of the repair the (DSV) QMS Huracan will reposition at the Saleh 1 platform in the Saleh field for approximately 10 – 20 days where they will commence Intelligent pigging operations.
During the operation, Master of DSV will issue necessary alerts and maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 16.
Therefore, all Mariners are requested to provide wide berth for above-mentioned vessel and proceed with extreme caution while operating in the vicinity.
