The Operations Manager will have a strong background in logistics management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively. As the Operations Manager, the jobholder will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods, optimizing warehouse operations, and implementing best practices to meet the company’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities 

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping and receiving.
• Ensure that all warehouse activities are carried out in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
• Plan and manage logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to customers and suppliers.
• Coordinate with transportation providers to manage inbound and outbound shipments.
• Monitor and analyze transportation and distribution costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
• Set performance targets and provide regular feedback to team members.
• Oversee inventory control processes to maintain accurate inventory levels and minimize stock discrepancies.
• Implement inventory tracking systems and conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy.
• Manage stock replenishment and order processing to meet demand.
• Continuously evaluate warehouse and logistics processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Leverage technology and automation to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance and drive improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, & standards.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for warehouse staff.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehousing and logistics management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
