A naming ceremony was held in Ras Al Khaimah Port for a new tug delivered to RAK Ports from the Albwardy Damen shipyard in Sharjah. The tug is a Damen ASD 2913 (29m Long and 13m Beam) with 80tons of bollard pull. The new vessel was named Osprey, with the baptism being performed by Mrs. Barbara Brand, wife of the CEO Capt Cliff Brand.
RAK Ports General Manager Captian Cliff Brand recently spoke to the Gulf News to contribute to an article entitled “The Future of Freight”. In particular, Captain Brand related how the construction of 2 new capesize berths as Saqr Port would positively influence both the volume and efficiency of cargo handled via the port.
A 9-person delegation led by Mr. Hu Youyi, the President of China Aggregates Association was received by the RAK Ports Group CEO Captain Cliff Brand, Dr. Adrian Pearson, Port Manager Saqr Port and Mr. Scott Keddle, RAK Maritime City Free Zone Manager. Mr. Joseph Ruize Gao, RAK Ports Chinese Marketing Executive gave a presentation about Ras al Khaimah and RAK Ports.
