ROGER CLASQUIN (CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER)
Roger Clasquin has more than 40 years of experience in practically all aspects of shipping, logistics and (international) port management and development. Having worked in many different international locations, added to extensive travelling, he avails of a global network of contacts. After a long period in shipping with Hamburg Süd, he became the first Director of Port of Rotterdam International in 2008. He started up their international activities and successfully developed Port of Rotterdam’s portfolio of port participations and port consultancy activities. From 2016 till end 2019 he served as CEO of Steder Group, an international logistics and maritime services company. Roger joined RAK Ports in January 2019 as CCO, he was promoted to the CEO position in January 2021.
JOHN ANGUS DAVIES (CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER)
A Durham University graduate (B.Sc Natural Sciences) John is fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) with over 25 years of finance and administration experience. After beginning his career as trainee accountant at Blyth Harbour Commission (Port of Blyth), a UK Trust Port, and after undertaking several roles within the business including responsibility for the finance and company secretarial roles for a number of the Ports subsidiary undertakings he was appointed as Secretary & Finance Director in 2001. In November 2016, John took up his current role as Chief Financial Officer of the Ras Al Khaimah Ports Group with responsibility for the Groups financial, administrative and human resource (HR) functions.
CAPTAIN MIKE MAGEE (HARBOUR MASTER)
Michael joined RAK Ports in July 2015 with the mission to structure marine operations to the highest standards and a vision to realise new business opportunities for the port. Captain Michael Magee is a First Class Master Mariner and Harbour Master of RAK Ports. After 15 years commercial seafaring with the British Merchant Navy, he joined Forth Ports PLC in 1997 filling the roles of Harbour Master, Towage Manager and VTS Manager. During this time he amalgamated VTS operational systems, implemented the Port Marine Safety Code and developed safety initiatives for Towage and Maritime Operations. Latterly Michael created Forth Ports Cruise Tendering Operations and initiated Forth Anchorages with both ventures securing high revenues for Forth Ports. Unique projects include international delivery of hull blocks for government commissioned Royal Navy Aircraft Carriers and construction planning for the new Forth Road Bridge.
JUSTIN WARDLE (PORT MANAGER, SAQR PORT)
Justin Wardle – AInstAM(Dip), GCGI, MILT is the Port Manager of Ras Al Khaimah Port who joined the RAK Ports Group in November 2011. Justin left the Royal Navy after completing over 24 years, serving at sea and ashore. Prior to RAK Ports he was also the Assistant Royal Naval Liaison Officer (UAE) at the British Embassy, Dubai. He has experience is in Global Supply Chain Logistics, Inventories & Warehouse Management, Leadership & Management, Health & Safety, Security and Investors in People. Holding an Honours Degree in Leaderships & Management, a Diploma in Administrative Management, Diploma in Port Management, a Member of the Institute of Logistics & Transport, he is a qualified ISO 9001/14001/45001 Auditor, Port Facilities Security Officer, Tier 1 & 2 Oil Spill management and is currently studying towards an MBA in Port Management.
COLIN GRAY (PORT MANAGER, AL JAZEERA PORT)
Colin Gray is the Port Manager of Al Jazeera Port, who joined the RAK Ports Group in February 2017 as Marine and Security Manager. Colin has over 35 years` experience in Senior and Director of Operations roles in the United Kingdom with the last 10 years working in the Oil and Gas industry here in the Middle East, where he held positions with Fugro, Abu Dhabi and Horizon Survey and Geotechnical, Sharjah. He has achieved accredited qualifications in Leadership, logistics and Project Management, including a Certificate of Professional Competence, gained at Northumbria University, UK and MCA Level 5 / IMO Level 3 Oil Spill Management, accredited by the Nautical Institute.
